Wanted to re-post an older BID VID today….

I have been seeing some ‘debate’ when it comes to rotational training and there seems to be a faction of folks that suggest that that we should NOT move our feet during these types of drills. First off, when we are doing ANTI-ROTATION drills this makes sense as we are fighting AGAINST rotation. When training for rotary power we NEED to pivot the rear foot and rotate the hips….as we do in the real world (think golf swing, bat swing, football throw, baseball pitcher). It make ZERO sense and adds serious injury risk when trying to do actual rotational work while trying to keep the feet planted – there is nowhere to generate power and the lumbar spine is not equipped to do so!
